Chidinma Ekile is a Nigerian gospel songwriter, singer, and performer brought into the world on the 2nd day of May 1991. She came into the limelight in early 2010 after she emerged the winner of the third season of Project Fame West Africa. Chidinma released her debut single “Emi Ni Baller” which was also visualized by a music video.

Chidinma Ekile Early Life
Chidinma Ekile was born and brought up in the early 90s in Ketu, Kosofe, Lagos State but she is originally from Imo State, the south-eastern part of Nigeria.
She is also the sixth child in a family of seven.
Chidinma’s upbringing was so significant becaused her father was a very disciplined man and he impacted the same virtue of discipline into his daughter, Chidinma. She started singing at a very tender age of six. She joined the choir in her local church when she was barely ten years old.
She also went into acting and was featured in a very popular movie in 2017 titled “The Brigde” which was directed by the Legendary Kunle Afolayan.

Before Chidinma relocated to Ikorodu with her entire family, Chidinma had her primary and secondary educated in a school in Ketu. Before she contested on the third season of Project Fame West Africa, she was a business promoter in Lagos.

Chidinma intially planned to study public communication, but the University of Lagos(UNILAG) granted her a sociology degree instead. At first, Chidinma had turned down the admission to the University of Lagos because of her breakthrough in Project Fame West Africa.

After she won the third season of Project Fame West Africa in 2010, she became popular. She broke the records to become the first female singer to reach the top spot on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 list after the release of the music video for her hit song “Emi Ni Baller.” In 2011, she released the song “Jankoliko,” which featured the now Late. Sound Sultan.
The talented singer distributed her self-titled debut album, which featured the hits “Carry You Go,” “Kedike,” “Jankoliko,” and “Run Dia Mouth.”
She rose to the top since she came into the spotlight and was ranked among the top 10 Nigerian female musicians in 2022 Which also includes big names like, Simi, Teni, Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade.
Legendary artistes like Sound Sultan, Olamide and Tha Suspect were featured on the hit album. Chidinma performed “Kedike” at the dentist ceremony after winning Best Female West African Act at the 2012 Kora Awards.
She recently secured a contract with Eezee Concept and released the gospel song “Jehovah Overdo” in which she shows herself a Daughter Of Zion. Holy (mimo mimo) by Chidima Ekile is her most recent album.
